BGF CSA Newsletter 2015 Week 1

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

Welcome to the start of our 2015 BGF CSA season! We hope you are ready for the summer feast to begin and to eat the seasons with us. Again, we appreciate your cooperation to adapt to our sudden change in schedule. We, too, are hustling around the farm to adapt to the change as well, especially since we have 3 brand new pick-up sites and over 270 members this year. A quick "shout out" to Faith Newman, Joan Hunter, Julie Fox-Arnott, Dr. Laura Bell, and Ashley Gray who brought us an incredible amount of referrals to really push our numbers.

In this week's newsletter, we have delicious recipes for a soup and salad combo. We encourage adventurous eating. All we ask is that if you are being introduced to new veggies, try them in their raw state, as well as their cooked state. Decide which suits you best. Also, try not to waste your food - just eat it. For example, the radish and turnip greens in your box are edible, so try them steamed, sautéed, or mixed in a casserole or soup.
