BGF CSA Newsletter 2016 Week 11

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

Now into our second half of the season, we will slowly start to see the crops transitioning into late summer/early fall items.  This week we debut our elegant eggplant. If you're not sure what to do with it, review out tried and true recipes on the website (Eggplant Mexicano and Cheesy Eggplant Casserole). We hope to have our summer favorites of corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, and green beans for a few more weeks. So even though we have started canning (for the winter), we are still happy to eat the fresh seasonal stuff now!

We have two easy and pleasing recipes that just shout "Summertime!"  Our Late Summer Salad is cool and crisp and just the thing for a hot summer's night - when ya just don't wanna cook over a hot stove.
