FROM OUR HANDS TO YOUR TABLE

Welcome to the blog.

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

Thank you to those who have shared a family recipe with us. We do try to make all of them. And if we are able to get a good quantity of the vegetable ingredients in the same box, we may feature it in a future newsletter (if not this year, in the next). Again, you may feel inundated with summer squash, so be sure to try this Recipe Addition, Zucchini Butter. It is delish!

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

Another great box this week. Hope you're getting creative in the kitchen. If you make a dish you can't get enough of, please share your recipe with us. We are always looking to try new things. And because you are getting more and more and more summer squash, be sure to search our recipes on our website. And here is an Additional Recipe you may like, Zucchini Crisp (an oldie but a goody)!

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

It is true...be careful what you wish for. The season started with rain, and we longed for the sunshine and heat. Now what?!

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

If you're feeling soggy, moldy, a bit water-logged, you're not alone. We feel it, too!

We offer a few suggestions in our newsletter this week to encourage you in the kitchen. For our new members, this amount of greenery can be overwhelming, so we hope you find delicious ways to get through it not discouraged by it.

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

We have another great box for you this week. It may seem repetitive, but this is what is fresh and in-season right now.  A great way to use your zucchini throughout the week is to grate it all up, place in a lidded container, and keep on the lower shelf of your fridge. This way it will be easier to quickly add a cup into your cooking - eggs, burgers, pasta sauce, soups, brownies, cake mixes, etc.

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

We hope you're not getting too moldy with the wet weather we've been having. We have a nice box for you this week, and hope you make time to try the recipes. Please take a look at the recipes we have on our website as well.  If the amount of veggies seem a bit much to eat fresh, freezing is always an option. There are resources online to help you with freezing small amounts of food.

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

Welcome to our 11th CSA season!  Ever since we opened registration in February, many of you have expressed your anticipation for the season to begin. After a long, cold winter, here we are and here we go again...

We have some good things for you this week.  As mentioned in the newsletter, it is a given that you'll be eating lots of greens. If it wasn't already, green will be your new favorite color!  Utilize your cookbooks (those antiquated volumes of paper with recipes), favorite Pinterest sites, or you tubes videos, for what to do with fresh produce.
