Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

We have a great box this week - full of the best veggies summer has to offer. A few new items, too - sweet corn, new potatoes, parsley, and eggplant!

Here is a link to a favorite recipe to use only when you have those cute, delicate, new potatoes, Crispy Smashed Potatoes.

And here is this week's newsletter - Newsletter 2017 Week 10.

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

It's hard to believe that the season is already at the mid-way point. Things are moving right along and very well this season.  The summer heat is full on, and we're feeling it, too. So we offer you our Cucumber Limeade - a fun summer drink recipe to keep you cool as a cucumber. This beverage was served at our Farm Day and the canister ran dry! Now you can make it, too.

Here is this week's newsletter - Newsletter 2017 Week 9.

Hello,

We apologize for the hiccup with sending out the newsletter this week. In the first email, the recipe addition link came through but the newsletter did not. In the second email, the newsletter link came through but the recipe did not.

Here are both links again:

Thank you for your patience, and enjoy your day.

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

"C" is not for cookie, not at this CSA.  No, we have a list of veggies that begin with "C" this week, including celery. And guess what, no lettuce this time. Scott had so many other special items that needed to be picked, he let it slide just this once (maybe).

And with the deluge of summer squash that came in over the weekend (some 25+ banana boxes full), you'll need to take advantage of the yummy recipes we have for you this week thanks to our food contest winners, including our Zucchini Crisp which calls for 8 cups of zucchini!

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

Even if you've been a CSA member for awhile, you may still struggle with what to do with some items. Kale being one of them. It isn't a favorite for everyone, but keep experimenting with recipes until you find that one that's a keeper. We have 2 recipes this week that we think you'll like. The amount of kale we provide will only allow you to try one of the recipes. Just hold onto the other for another time.

Peas are also in the box again, but not enough of either kind to go all around, so some of you will get snow and some will get sugar. The pods are edible for both kinds.

Here is this week's newsletter - Newsletter 2017 Week 4. And to help you eat through your box in a timely manner without waste, follow our Veggie Triage - 101 guide.

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

Dodging thunderstorms while trying to pick in the fields is no fun task. We needed the rain to water the plants, but we sure didn't need the lighting to show the way.  However, in the end it's all worth it when we can bring you tasty delights with a few new items this week: kohlrabi, beets, and peas.

Here is this week's newsletter - Newsletter 2017 Week 3. And if you're still unsure about what to do with scapes, here is the link to our Recipe Addition for Garlic Scape Infused Olive Oil (it's worth the effort!).

Dear Blue Goose Farm CSA Members,

Welcome to our 10th CSA season! It is your constancy that helps strengthen our CSA, and we are sincerely grateful to you that you have joined us once again for this food journey

We have some great stuff for you this week.  As mentioned in the newsletter, here is the link to our Recipe Addition for Swiss Chard-Sriracha Fridge Pickles - a quick, fun use for those beautiful but often discarded stems.  And since this is your first installment of greens, here is a link to some helpful info about How to Cook Leafy Greens.
